Hello Praveen and a belated welcome to TN
I saw this picture yesterday and i wanted to congratulate you for such a marvel, but time was not on my side. However, i came back today to finish the job :)
I understand perfectly why this is one of your favorites. And i strongly believe that you simply couldn't have composed this one any better. Even a good close-up on the tiger's head in the water would not have come close to the impact this picture has. It's just so good!
Unfortunately, it might have not got the attention it deserved here simply because from the thumbnail one can't see the actual subject.
Anyway, for those who opened it, it was definitely a great surprise. I really love your exact focus here as well as the terrific light you managed to get on his head - with all those small shades from the branches.
The Egret on top really completes the scene and integrates the tiger so well in the habitat.
Excellent frontal POV and lovely colors are very well saturated. Also from the technical point of view, i find the DOF extremely well managed - with both the FG and the BG well blurred, thus concentrating all the attention on the detailed subject.
All-in-all: wonderful work! I really hope to see more photos like this one from you :)
Bravo and Thanks for sharing
Horia
PS: i also love your newest posts; the egrets contrast well with the surroundings creating this very moody scene.
that is just WOW
Hello Praveen,
I fully agree with Annick that your eyes go to the bird and then suddenly you see the tiger ! Wonderful capture of the dead tree and the fauna of Bandavgarh.
