Landscapes shooting is a new field for me. I was interseted in shooting macro only and enjoyed it immensely. Now I am trying to learn this new genre of nature photography and request all the dear tn fellow members to help me with their knowledge and guidence in shooting landscapes. I do not have adequate knowledge of shooting and post processing landscapes but I hope that with time and help of tn members i may improve.

Toady i present the other point of view of the Raneh Falls , Khajuraho. Last week i visited this lovely place for the secon time. I visited this place 18 months back too and was surprised to see this great natural beauty.

Ken river is one of the rivers of central India. About 25 KMs from Khajuraho the city of famous temples Raneh falls is loacted. It also has alligator national park on the banks of this river.

Raneh falls is an beautiful waterfall on river Ken running formed by oldest rocks on earth, the Vindhya basalt. The black , grey , brown and red rock provide a lovely landscaping .

This shot has been taken handheld with nikon d 80 and Sigma 70/300 apo dg macro lens in broad daylight.

Hi Pankaj,
i'm not sure what exactly you want to improve upon here...the detail is clear and sharp, it's just about perfectly exposed, the colours are a fantastic muddy earthy colour, the DOF is fine from front to back...i guess you could change the POV, but without knowing what else there could be to include here, i couldn't really say myself. Looks like you've done a great job here to me! Nicely done,
Paul

Hi Pankaj,
very impressive waterfall, good picture, dramatic action. I have been to Khajuraho long ago but not to this astonishing place.
regards
Pierre

Hi Pankaj Da,
Yes I am totally agreed with Paul. But as you will see Paul's captures of sea you can see the slow shutter speed with the help of a tripod and also keep something in the foreground and also use of a polariser. But in your shot here, it is different and looks nice to me too. So no suggestion. It is a beautiful capture of its own showing the force of water. Many thanks for sharing this.

Hola Pankaj, una excelente fotografia que nos muestra un buen detalle de esta aguas bravas. Un saludo

WOW!! How impressive and beautiful, Pankaj! This is really a perfect landscape shot. You captured perfectly the beauty of these stunning falls. I like a lot the framing and composition and I think it couldn't be better done. I'd put it among my favourites could I do it.
Thank you very much, my friend.
Greetings
Maite

Hello my friend Pankaj,
Delighted to see your beautiful landscape of waterfalls!
Excellent exposure and focus with the use of f/14 to have a perfect result on the power of water in good sharpness!
If we can see the far distance view of the starting water will be more enjoyable and a bit broader view on the side too! only my view hope you do not mind!
many thanks for the sharing
take good care and my sincere regards
Tony

Hello Pankaj,
An interesting close view of this waterfall showing the rushing water and the mist created against the beautiful shiny and steep rock surfaces. Interesting perspective, fine sharp details and natural colours.
TFS and cheers, Ulla

Hi Pankaj
A splendid landscape shot of this falls my friend. Great composition with wonderful clarity. Many thanks for sharing this natural beauty.
Cheers,

This is taking the bull by the horns, Pankaj.
A daring frontal view that displays the power of the muddy torrential water gushing through the ravine. I am sure you must have reached that vantage point with some good challenging climbing to do.
The rocks in this picture are truly impressive.
Thanks for sharing another great landscape picture.

Hello Pankaj,

Very nice capture of this Raneh falls. Rock faces are very clear and you have managed the light very well to the entire DOF. Turbid roughs are very dynamic.

Sharp and crisp yet still captures the power and movement of the river.
You've used the light very well.

That does look a strong water fall. The dirty brown water shows us the strength it must have to dredge up all that mud and dirt.
Well composed Pankaj. Good focus and colours too,
TFS

Pankaj,
You've moved up into another genre altogether! This (doing landscapes)is a lovely addition to your already wonderfully honed skills as a photographer!
And you've captured that rawness of nature here, which is rare to capture! There is no pristine white spray or blue water, as one would expect ina waterfall, yet you make this muddy waterfall look so beautiful!
Hats off to you, my friend!

Hi Pankaj

I like the dramatic and powerful aspect of this river very much. I believe there's not much different to do about this picture. You have chosen it as a subject, and it's fine. I would wait for a better lighting or come back when the sun is shining to increase the contrasts which are a bit flat.

Kind regards

Markus
