Yikes, he is a big one, isn't he? Doesn't do much for my fear of spiders! Good close-up here. I like the fine details, espcially of the web. Overall, great composition.

Hi Sumon,
I am enjoying your spider phase. This certainly is a huge one. All I know is it is not a tarantula. Wonderful capture with beautiful colors. Amazing details - those legs are awesome. The web is wonderful too.

Hi Sumon,
Outstanding capture of this spider!
The sharp and clear details on the insect are remarkable.
I like so much the bokeh got at the background, it's really a rich and wonderful one.
It seems that this spider had some troubles when building its web, it's not so perfect as it used to be.
Will look forward for your next spider's post on this month.
My compliments and thanks for share it.
Best regards,
JM

You truly have the eye of a graphic artist. I have seen this kind of consistency in colour and pattern many times from friends who work in the business of magazine and product advertising. In your case you adapted and morphed that talent of combining colors to the natural world. It is an amazing talent you have and I sure recommend that you follow up on it. Perhaps you will be "discovered"!

Sumon, this is truly a monster of a spider.
You have chosen your perspective with great discretion, giving a fantastic and detailed view of its colourful abdomen. Sitting at the centre of the intricate web, it looks just adorable.
TFS and regards.

Hello Sumon,
Great capture as usual.
I've seen spiders like this on Niue in the South Pacific Islands.
I'm afraid I don't kbnow what they are called though. I'll do some research myself too.
I just happened to find a big spider of my own today so I'll post that one now.
Cheers

Hello Sumon,
Though it is difficult to judge the size of objects on a photo, somehow this looks as though it has a span of at least about 12 cm, which implies a body of about 5cm - that's just a guess and I can't help with the ID. The arabic writing type of pattern on the body must be a clue though.
A usual the technical standard of this shot is great and I thank you for sharing this one.
Bes wishes, Ivan

Hi Sumon,
This is a spider from golden silk orb-weavers (genus Nephila). The species may be Nephila maculata
(Giant Wood Spider). I have a few pictures of similar looking spider in my file. POV and composition are great.

Hello Sumon,
brilliantly clear, well lighted picture of that monster spider. The ID seems to be
Nephila maculata,
the Giant Wood Spider
from the Golden Orb Weaver family, one of the largest orb waving spiders on earth, said to be quite common in Southeast Asia from Japan to India.
Some quickly found web references:
