Flowers are the order of the day when in sombre mood. Feeling a bit down for the past few days, hence trying to pep myself up by looking at these beautiful flowers. This is an unique variety of hibiscus which I don't see too often. The ornamental petals are so intricate in their design and shape that it makes it look so special and different from any other hibiscus flower. Surely this is one of my favourites. Shot taken hand-held. Hope everyone like this as much as I do.

-------------
Hibiscus, or rosemallow, is a large genus of about 200–220 species of flowering plants in the family Malvaceae, native to warm temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. The genus includes both annual and perennial herbaceous plants, and woody shrubs and small trees.

The leaves are alternate, simple, ovate to lanceolate, often with a toothed or lobed margin. The flowers are large, conspicuous, trumpet-shaped, with five or more petals, ranging from white to pink, red, purple or yellow, and from 4-15 cm broad. The fruit is a dry five-lobed capsule, containing several seeds in each lobe, which are released when the capsule splits open at maturity.

Scientific classification -
Kingdom: Plantae
Division: Magnoliophyta
Class: Magnoliopsida
Order: Malvales
Family: Malvaceae
Genus: Hibiscus

Hi Sumon

Great sharpness here - I find these very irritating flowers to photograh as the slightest breeze makes them sway violently, making good focus difficult, so well done. Great exposure too.

James

Preciosa y delicada, sobre todo la base. Bellos colores.
Agrazo Sumon.

Hi Sumon da,
A beautiful capture of this hibiscus flower. We also have some of these in our roof top. But the problem is it rarely blooms and also gets used in puja. Very nicely composed with excellent details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hello Sumon,
Brilliant capture of this lovely Hibiscus. You're lucky to have beautiful flowers to look at while we sit here in the darkness of the north! I like your composition showing excellent sharp details and beautiful colours.
Many thanks, Ulla

The winner of this is the small lower right corner so delicate after seeing the large focused center. Nice eye candy. Done as only one man can do..Sumon!

Hello Sumon,
Superb shot of an ornamental Hibiscus flower. Your focusing and the Dof is remarkable considering the low aperture. The composition and OOF natural BG are superb.
This could be an illustration for a gardeners catalogue!
This form with the intricate petals is usually found in gardens, but it is quite like that it could also have 'escaped' into the wild.
Well done and TFS!
Ivan
