This butterfly is one of the rare ones which have prominent eye-spots on either side of their wings, Sumon.
I see you are still digging into your archives which seems to be full of pleasant surprises.
This is a marvellous capture with such sharp colours and details.

Hallo Sumon
What a wonderful display of colours and patterns in one. The view of this butterfly with closed wings is a totally different view to when it is open winged. I cannot believe it is the same butterfly. I like the view in which you have photographed the butterfly. The lighting is perfect and also the focus. The butterfly is placed precisely right in the frame and the colours and markings are superb and can easily go through as a hand painted job. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day.

I really think the DSC-H2 is one of the best cams around for taking this type of shot. The sharpness and detail on teh butterfly is flawless. DOF is excellent too. Great background and POV. A well composed shot, great work.

As usual great macro work, super deatils and colours...
DOF spot on separates the insect well from the back!

You present us a mervellous butterfly picture. I'm impressed by its clarity and freshness. In French we call this "piqué". This means that the details are perfect and the sharpness adds to the value of the whole picture. The composition with the leaf pointing to the center is well done.

Hi Sumon!

All butterflies of your last posts are wonderful, but for me this is the best one! There is some kind of nobility or gracefulness or what I should call it (not sure if I translated right), in the pose, standing proudly of its wonderful colors and pattern on the edge of the plant, as it was a huge rock with a distant view underneath.
Captured very fine, very live, with lots of details. TFS!
