I am having a look at this image soon after our conversation, Sumon.
The first impression it gave was that of a Plain Tiger and then I read your note.
Danaid Eggfly, without any doubt whatsoever, is a unique mimic and I am sure no one has posted this species from India on TN so far.
That makes it the first post and that too a brilliant one as usual from your versatile hands.
The butterfly is indeed very beautiful to look at. It has a distinct abdomen as shown in the picture. If you have the view of the other side of its wings, I would love to have a look at it.
So congratulations for capturing and posting this first ever picture of a rare species and thanks for sharing it.

In spite of worrying about snakes you captured a real beauty!! As in all your pictures it is in a perfect position on perfect leaves. Colors are magnificent. The markings on the wing and the outer edges are stunning. Razor sharp details of the entire butterfly. Beautiful composition a la Mana.

Hi Sumon,
This is just too good...what brillaint colours and sharpness Sumon....I have never come across this butterfly in real life.And you present it in superb colours and a very fine contrast.

The texture looks soft and the shot is crisp enough to show every bit of details on the wings and on its body.Very fine PoV with good DoF.The golden orange colour is rich and looks so real.I feel as if i could stretch my hand and feel the butterfly.
