hello haraprasan,

i was trying to capture this beautiful insect but couldnt manage to get a single shot as it was moving so fast from one flower to another.

I liked the pov and the moment you have captured here but i feel that the lantana flowers are over exposed and the composition could have been better.looks like you have taken this shot in harsh light.Faster shutter speed could have resulted in better shot.

tfs & regards
pankaj

Hello Haraprasan,
wonderful action shot, nice moment capture,I never seen this moth before,
well done,
tfs

Well for me this is most interesting in a couple of ways. fist off I have not seen a moth with transparent wings which is a first and nice to see. Secondly it may be the first moth in flight I have seen as well...1/500th should stop just about everything, but the wings still have some motion. The old photographers rule is 1/500th but there are exceptions. In this case, although out of thinking time at the moment, 1/1000 might have done it. But would it have made things better? A questio0n only answered by trying, but my guess is that you cannot do this every day:-) It's one of those grab shots in which you really have no time for preparation!

Hi HP!
This is a very good shot considering the circumstances! other the flower being little overexposed rest is perfect congrats for such a wonderful shot

Hello hara,
A fine in-flight of this beautiful Bee Hawk-moth, the Coffee Clear-winged.
The colours, lighting, POV and composition are excellent. I guess you are regretting that you did not have a higher speed setting at the time, but despite that it is a nice one to view and thanks for sharing it,
Ivan

Hi Haraprasan,

I never knew there was a moth with transparent wings! You caught him in the perfect position to show them off. He is also more colorful than most moths here. TFS.

Hi Haraprasan,
i really like this, the shot has a strange feel to it, as well as a strange creature flying in it too! Great pastel colours and i actually quite like the softness to it.

I saw a moth of this type during my visit to Gurgaon recently, HP. However, it was buzzing around so fast I found it impossible to shoot it.
You have captured it very well at 1/500. I can see it is not sitting still and getting it within the frame is a great feat, indeed.
Well done and TFS.
