Today I dedicated this flower to Anna (Miss_Piggy). Many many thanks to Mr. Nirmal Roberts (nirmalroberts) for identifying this flower.

Kingdom Plantae
Subkingdom Tracheobionta
Superdivision Spermatophyta
Division Magnoliophyta
Class Magnoliopsida
Subclass Dilleniidae
Order Capparales
Family Capparaceae
Genus Cleome
Species Cleome rutidosperma
spiderflower

Cleome is a genus of flowering plants traditionally included in the family Capparaceae. Some recent classifications have included the Capparaceae within Brassicaceae, while others classifications have transferred Cleome (along with other related genera) to its own family Cleomaceae, separate from both Capparaceae and Brassicaceae.

The genus includes about 170 species of herbaceous annual or perennial plants and shrubs. The genus has a subcosmopolitan distribution throughout the tropical and warm temperate regions of the world.

Crude aqueous extract of Cleome rutidosperma was investigated for diuretic and antibacterial activity. The diuretic activity was tested in rats at 400 and 600 mg/kg, orally and compared with furosemide (20 mg/kg, intraperitoneally) as the standard. The antibacterial activity was assessed by disc diffusion method against Bacillus subtilis , Bacillus laterosporus , Staphylococcus aureus , Micrococcous luteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Vibrio cholerae , Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi at concentrations of 100, 200 and 400 µg/disc respectively.

Hello HP, Nice dedication and superb composition. The frame and the flower is just brilliant idea. Ganesh

Hallo Haraprasan
This is really a beautiful dedication which is a pleasant surprise. I LOVE purple and when I see something purple I go quite dilly. Looking at this purple flower did just that. Thanks for sharing this very dainty and pretty flower with all of us. The lavender petals are soft on the eye, and the white anthers with the dark tips are bright and clearly visible. I fancy the unopened blossoms displayed in the blurred background, and it tickle my fancy quite a lot. A lovely close-up, with sharp details. Sorry I could not help with the identification of this beauty, but until somebody can identify it, I think it is a good idea if we call it "Anna's 4 petal flower" Thanks for this contribution. Kind regards
Anna

Hello Hara,
A fine sharp capture of this unknown but beautiful flower, its blue colour shining among the green leaved BG. This beautiful portrait asks for an ID and I hope some botanist on TN can come up with it.
IT is a fine tribute to Anna, who I am sure appreciates it.
Thanks for sharing this delight.

Well dedicated HP! Anna is so genuine in her love for nature and especially colours. This is definitely well thought out as an almost gift rather than a dedication. so you give her a gift of known and common interest...Now if you were both not married...I would say that is sweet!:-)

Hi Haraprasan.
I welcome your nice subject. You have selected a very nice plant for shooting and you have managed to create a true art shot. Blurriness of the BG is amazing, lights, colours and details of the plant and flowers are excellent and harmonize with the BG perfectly. Composition of the image is the best. Bravo. Well done.
Alexei.

Hi Haraprasan...Beautiful Anna s 4 Petal flower....Very good choice for Anna but I was thinking to dedicated Anna purple flowers, because she told me before she like purple a lot.....You faster den me....never mine...Also flowers look so beautiful, nice color, so attractive..Well done....Kind regards,
Leyla

A flower is a flower, HP, and a gift of God to us humans, irrespective of whether we grow it in our gardens or find it in the wilderness. We sometimes express ourselves through the medium of flowers instead of words and that is what you have done here in this picture. I am sure Anna would appreciate your dedication.
The delicate looking, purple flower has been captured in softer tones and is the focal point of attention in this well-composed picture.
Well done and TFS.
Ram

A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hello Haraprasan,
Very nice capture of this beautiful (Cleome rutidosperma) flower. I have not seen this plant since years. Perhaps, it does not grow in this part of the country (UP).
Thanks a lot for sharing.
