[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I dedicate this post to a very good Landscape photographer Paul Haynes (PaulH). Thanks a lot for viewing.

Tides are the rising and falling of Earth's ocean surface caused by the tidal forces of the Moon and the Sun acting on the oceans. Tidal phenomena can occur in any object that is subjected to a gravitational field that varies in time and space, such as the Earth's land masses.

Tides noticeably affect the depth of marine and estuarine water bodies and produce oscillating currents known as tidal streams, making prediction of tides very important for coastal navigation. The strip of seashore that is submerged at high water and exposed at low water, the intertidal zone or foreshore, is an important ecological product of ocean tides.

The changing tide produced at a given location is the result of the changing positions of the Moon and Sun relative to the Earth coupled with the effects of Earth rotation and the local shape of the sea floor. Sea level measured by coastal tide gauges may also be strongly affected by wind.

Quite the difference in seascapes...so dedicating it to Paul was a brilliant notion. In this way we get the whole imagery of the differing areas of the world. This is more of the minimalist style of Paul's work and in that way it does very well...a blank table if you will for our minds to fill in the rest of the story. Very good notion!

Hello Haraprasan,
This is a fine and simple work of art with good perspective showing the intertidal zone of a beach, quite different from Paul's land/seascapes but sharing his eye for perspective, which makes it a fine tribute to him.

Hi Haraprasan,

Simplicity at its best. For some reason what really catches my eye is the small white shell on the sand. Wonderful shot full of atmosphere.

Good composing picture with soft colours.

Personelly i croped a little of the sky so you get 1/3 sky and 2/3 else.
The ky is grey with in the middle white and you don't miss that litttle piece of sky.

my apologies for only just seeing this, i have been a bit busy this weekend. Thanks so much for this wonderful dedication!
I very much like this minimilist composition, you have managed to create so much mood and atmosphere from such a simple scene. I think sometimes that this kind of weather and light can be so much more effective than glorious sunshine or dramatic weather. Very well chosen POV and a great job on the exposure to balance the scene very nicely, i hope you enjoyed your time wondering along the shore! Great note too. Thanks again Sumon!

I have to agree with Bob. This is so different from the Dorset Coast that it highlights the totally different habitats. A good choice for Paul's dedication.

Simplicity is the key word and it is very nicely composed.

I hope you will not mind if I criticize. The visual is good but the impact of the picture is poor. The sky part is disturbing. In such case the sky should be cropped more. The left foreground is also disturbing the frame. The stone structure could be more bold to depict its feature.

It is not only in the UK they have good looking beaches, hehehe!
Simplicity rules, and it is wise to include the rock as a focal point...
Fine textures in the sand, moody colours!
