almost a Xmas image with the red against the green...although this red is a bit more toward the purple side..just a tad...Straight in the vertical it perches and sits still while you take your time to do your work...So we are back full circle ow...and we shall see what this summer brings...I can see it starting with a bang!

A prize shot of this interestingly coloured Dragonfly, Sumon.
It was only once that I had the opportunity of seeing this insect near a pond in Himachal Pradesh. I tried shooting it but none of my shots turned out to be any good. It was mid day with harsh glaring sun and my camera settings were awful!
You have got the focus spot on on the entire subject. The rich colours on its thorax and abdomen are very beautiful.
