[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This image was the 2nd shot of a water lily that i got in the nehru park in chanakyapuri in new delhi.
This note is same as the one i posted with the earlier pic that i posted.
Nymphaeaceae is a family of flowering plants. Members of this family are commonly called water lilies and live in freshwater areas in temperate and tropical climates around the world. The family Nyhmpaeaceae contains 8 genera. There are about 70 species of water lilies around the world. The genus Nymphaea contains about 35 species across the Northern Hemisphere. The genus Victoria contains two species of giant water lilies and can be found in South America. Water lilies are rooted in soil in bodies of water, with leaves and flowers floating on the water surface. The leaves are round, with a radial notch in Nymphaea and Nuphar, but fully circular in Victoria.

Horticulturally, water lilies are divided into two main categories: hardy and tropical. Hardy water lilies bloom only during the day, but tropical water lilies can bloom either day or night, and are the only group to contain blue-flowered plants.

Water lilies can be fragrant, such as Nymphaea odorata.

Beautiful composition. Excellent lighting and focus. I have never seen a water lily with such intense and vibrant color. Great photo!

I love the saturated color here boss. And also the composition. Excellent Doc.

The colour of the lily takes the cake in this stunningly beautiful composition, Pushpinder.
The camera settings turned out to be ideal for this capture. Each petal of the flower is a beauty unto itself and goes to illustrate John Keats' contention that "A thing of beauty is a joy for ever".

The bright cerise colour of this water lily attracted my attention while browsing through your portfolio. To me this whole image shouts out Spring and Happiness and Joy and Sunshine and Love and Beautiful.
