============

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Insecta
Order: Diptera
Superfamily: Syrphoidea
Family: Syrphidae

Flies in the Diptera family Syrphidae are commonly known as hoverflies, flower flies, or Syrphid flies.

As their common names suggest, they are often seen hovering or nectaring at flowers; the adults of many species feed mainly on nectar and pollen, while the larvae (maggots) eat a wide range of foods. In some species, the larvae are saprotrophs, eating decaying plant and animal matter in the soil or in ponds and streams. In other species, the larvae are insectivores and prey on aphids, thrips, and other plant-sucking insects.

A good, lateral capture of a fine hoverfly specimen with characteristic huge eyes Ganesh, Ram could name the species for you, I'm sure. A slight cropping may improve this composition my frie3nd.
Cheers,
Mehmet

Hola Ganesh, una toma nitida y con buena luz, colores muy naturales, yo recortaria por la derecha pues hay un espacio que no aporta nada y quedaria mejor la composición. Un saludo

Hi Ganesh,

Your title made me smile. So, which did he do? Nice capture of this fly as he walks up the stem. Good colors and details. I like the transparent wings.

Jane

Hi GAnesh,
Very nice Bg and colors on the bee. Little more sharpness would have been fantastic. Crop on the right side, could be better.

Great macro of this little Hoverfly, Ganesh!
I really like the simplicity of it: A simple BG, just a leaf, stem and hoverfly, very even exposure, wide crop.
Sharp and detailed with good clarity.
Lovely tones too.
Well done!
