dear ganesan,

i am so happy to this fine macro shot,the composition is fine and the sharpness is amazing and the colors are beautiful,

however i would have liked to see single colored bg here instead of dual colors, by getting a bit lower you could have avoided the brown bg at the lower part but that doesnt makes this shot less pleasurable. very nicely done,

it also shows that the macro work offers a lot of scope then shotting just insects and a lot of nice work like this can be done. you should try the insects on the colored petals of the flower and i am sure that you can get great macro shots with vibrants backgrounds.

As usual my camera is still in the bag. Tomorrow i am leaving for a 7 days official trip but this time taking the camera along as i will be going to some historical places where i could get a chance to use my wide angle lens.

Wowww... Ganesh, my dear friend, what an impressive shot and title! I am sure that you read Eugene Ehrlich's book on the Latin proverbs. Your title is a locution with roots in the Latin "amicus certus in re incerte cernitur". In reality it means "when things get iffy, you find out who your true friends are". Great proverb! I can also add one here: "amicus probantur rebus adversia" (i.e. Friends are proved by adversity: the friendship litmus test).

Anyway great shot accompanying with an significant proverb. And it is very important for me. Thus it must be take its place in my favs!

Simple, Symbolic and Stunning a Shot!
This is a very original and creative piece of art work. I just love the way the two shoots stand entwined. The colours in the BG are wonderful and the muted BG works excellently to set off the subjects.Superb contrasts and lighting too.
