[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is yet another image from the series I shot at Gurgaon on June 21. I have built a theme on this series which relates to the existence of life forms on an Asian Milkweed named Crown Flower plant.
Through the caption to the picture, I intend to convey that my assumption about the existence of only two species of insects, namely, Painted Grasshoppers and Seed Bugs on this poisonous milkweed was totally erronous.

I came to realise it only while editing this image on PS CS2 just now. When I enlarged the picture, I was surprised to find another winged insect inside the Crown Flower. I swear that while shooting this picture, I was totally unaware of the presence of this insect inside the flower. You can see it just below the Seed Bug.
This proves that in the time since I joined TN, I have turned a pseudo-'scientist' in the process of looking up materials on the web to write notes on my pictures!
Please note that I flunked sciences at College and immediately switched over to humanities :-)!

Anyway, I have no idea about the ID of this new insect inside the Crown Flower and if an expert comes to my rescue, I would be deeply obliged.

For details on the plant and Seed Bugs, please refer to my notes appended to the pictures I have already posted on the theme.

I have retained the second Crown Flower within the frame for the sake of composition.
Hope you like it.

TFL and have a nice day.

Hello Ram,
This Milkweed seems to be a real gem! Excellent macro showing a beautiful Bug and a little Moth competing for the food. Very clear details and beautiful colours. A very nice composition too.
TFS and kind regards, Ulla

this time in the perch, milkweed, I see them opening a bit more and the duo colours of the flora. It certainly gives a flair to the picture Ram. A very nice overall...and yet I remain partial for some reason to the perch...The insect almost looks as if it is trying to hog a good scene:-)

Hi Ram,

A wonderful addition to your series. I love seeing the Crown Flowers side by side with and without insects. What a nice surprise you had finding a different insect in this one. Details of the bugs and of the flowers are excellent. Beautiful colors and a pleasing composition.

Hello Ram,

It occurs sometimes that when we look at our picture hours after having taken them, we see, with great pleasure, some details not seen on site... Here the presence of the second insect is very interesting on this milkweed!

The red bug looks like Spilostethus pandurus.... Maybe they share the same Genum...

Great pic and TFS!

Hello Ram,
nice image of these two insects enjoying there meal of milkweed :-)
The flowers are lovely!
Very sharp, great composition and nice colours.

Well done,
Joe

This is a beautiful capture Ram,full of colour.
Its interesting that you didn't notice the little moth at first.I think your camera did ... the focus seems to have locked onto it and it has come out as the sharpest object inb the photo.
No idea of the ID I'm afraid, but I love the photo.
You were right to leave the second flower in the frame. It looks good like this.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Mr. Ram,
A nice capture of this milkweed flower along with the milkweed bug and a tiny moth. Very good details and a nice composition. Here in Eastern Orissa we generally don't depend upon monsoon. We basically face low pressure rain here. And now we are having it in plenty but the same humidity problem is here. Very less opportunities to take photographs. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Sincerely
HP
