| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This big insect was constantly fluttering when I was trying taking its picture. It went so high on the wall pestered by the camera, that I had to keep a chair (well, I am very short-heightened too!) to get this point of view. But I was pretty happy as I had not seen this one before.
I am unable to identify this and do not know whether it is a dragonfly or something else.. (In my definition, mostly dragonflies/damselflies would have transparent wings, don't know if there can be exceptions.) Any inputs regarding the identification would be very much appreciated.
I am sure Mr Ram Thakur would have helped, owing to his expertise on dragonflies, alas he is busy!

Namaste Richa,
considering identification, I can only sy that it belongs to the family Myrmeleontidae
of the insect order Neuroptera. I can't give the exact species name.
Best wishes, Peter
