I clicked many pictures of these "devils of destruction" at the same time, but this one is my husband's favourite as he feels the shot tells a story.
These grasshoppers become aware of your presence even when you are almost 1-2 feet away and will start crouching under the leaves and the stems of the trees, keeping an eye on you.
But this couple was so engrossed in mating that it didn't notice me bringing my camera so close to them. Though after clicking the picture when I looked at them, it looked like they seem to be looking back at me and the male seems to be protective of her mate by putting his foreleg over her shoulder. Hence this caption. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Namastay Richa,
Marvellous macro capture of the green-faced grasshoppers! Wonderful sharpness and taken from a nice POV in addition to the shallow use of the DOF, are very well managed. The colors are simply wonderful and natural, showing great textures on their bodies. There exists a great contrast between the bright colored grasshoppers and the green sorroundings. An informative note is always a plus point.
Wonderful job!
thanks and regards,
