Hi Goldy!
The picture and the notes make together an effective and pleasant posting. From my point of view, this time the technical aspect of your picture is fine!
:-)
I also like the overall atmosphere it evokes and the romantic aspect. It's simple, yet very pleasant.
Kind regards
Markus

Hello Goldy,
Robert Frost goes really well with this view. I missed going to my native place this summer where such deep and dark woods abound.
Incidently, the trees in your picture are young Cedrus deodara -- a Himalayan Cedar tree a.k.a. Deodar in Hindi and local dialects of HP.
The image is well composed and conveys the sense of peace and tranquillity.
All the best.

Hi Goldy
The shadows the tree create add depth and texture to your image. I like the way the tree trucks near the ground are curved adding more interest. A nice composition of your forest.

Dear Goldy,
As it is well poited out by Ram Sir, you have to correct your note about "A typical Indian Sal Forest..." to Cedrus deodara -- a Himalayan Cedar . Otherwise beautiful wood with excellent light effect.

Frost is often quoted, much by me. I think I have used this particular part of his poem about 3X on TN. In this case, as I felt with mine, it is a good notation poem. Very fitting. I am super partial to tall trees such as this..and when I think of where you are at..this is a very special image! Himachal is there my friend TJ was born when he father was a General in the Indian Army.

Hi Goldy. This landscape of the wood looks like an oil painting with the deep rich colours. I like the way the light plays on the ground , the trees draws your eyes into the picture and deep into the wood. well done TFS.
Nick..
Thanks for you kind comments.

Hi Goldy,
Another beautiful forest scene and a quote from one of my favorite poets. I miss seeing these big trees and the shade they provide. I would like to be in the midst of those woods right now enjoying the beauty and coolness.

Agreat habitat shot - really gives and impression of 'place'. Real TN stuff. Well seen and captured.

You did capture a nice feeling in this forest scene dappled with sunlight. I have couple of compositional comments though. I don't feel that the dark tree all along the left side adds anything to the whole. I also think the image may have been a bit more dynamic if the curved foreground tree didn't start right in the center. I probably would have moved a bit to the left to take the shot. That would have also separated the foreground tree from the one right behind it. You did manage nice exposure and sharpness.
