O SWALLOW, Swallow, flying, flying South,
Fly to her, and fall upon her gilded eaves,

That bright and fierce and fickle is the South,
And dark and true and tender is the North.

Funny that you chose this one, this time to use some poetry/prose....I was feeling that it almost demanded some music, in the way of words, to accompany because it is a mood shot for the bird. You are really in touch there....I know, you know, I know etc...ya know? :-)

Beautiful bird O Swallow, Swallow..and,

As the bird looks off into that distant space,
Taking time-off from the bird rat-race.

With that far away look in its thoughtful eye,
But why-oh-why does this bird brain not fly?

Not Tennyson, but it'll have to do..Have they banned lame attempts at poetry in your critique at TN? I better read the TOS again :))

Hi Goldy again.
Excellent close-up. I like how well you have reproduced all features of the swallow. These birds live near my countryside house and I had many attempts to shoot them. It is not so easy task considering their colouration. BG is looked greatly and supplements the main subject excellently. Well done and TFS.
