The Viceregal Lodge is the most famous tourist place in Shimla. Two days halt in Shimla was not memorable. The limat was hot completely contrast to what we were thinking and found in Manali. But Shimla was still buzzing with tourists mainly honeymooners. :) On the Last day we went to Viceroy Lodge and beleive me it was Paisa Wasool (worth money) visit. Its architecture is amazing and its the place where India and Pakistan were first seperated on paper which is know as Shimla Pact.
It was evening time. Th building has a very large and well maintained garen. I was venturing with flowers and my sweet wife. And suddenly i saw this beauty resting on bunch of small flowers. It was illuminating against the setting sun. I immediately focused on this and started to click. My wife got so angry just ran away from me. Still i capture two three more shot and ran behind her. :D
There are lots of pictures of this. You can find the info here
Thanks for visiting.

Hi Mahesh,
Wonderful shot of this beautiful butterfly. The back lighting presents a superb effect and highlights the subjects well. Though the harsh light has created points of OE still it looks majestic. I like your POV and your decision to conciously forget your better-half for a few seconds. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Mahesh,
This is a lovely composition!
I like all the colours mixed here, as well as its distribution along the frame.
It's very good the saturation and contrast of the bright colours against the dark background.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Even at my age, my old woman is very jealous of my photography, Mahesh :-)!
The other day in Ajmer, I slunk off early in the morning from the guest house we were staying in to take some nature pictures. By the time I came back, the old lady was fuming.

But how could you, a honeymoon husband, afford to make your young bride unhappy with your photography, young man? Don't do it again on your refresher HM next year!
However, your picture of this butterfly is worthy of all the risk you took :-). It is simply beautiful.
Why are you not posting regularly?
Be a little diplomatic and don't stop posting on account of probable "obstructions" from any quarters ;-))!!!!!

hi mahesh,
excellent work but very risky one, your love for nature can be well understood by the notes, i admire your courage:-). jokes apart its excellent work, the colours are lovely and the light from the back illuminates the shot beautifully, nice pov, well composed shot,
well done,
tfs & regards
pankaj
