[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another macro of the tiny flower I posted earlier under the caption ‘Shadow Play’ shot in the Shimla hills in Himachal Pradesh, India.
The color difference between that picture and this one can be explained; I took that shot in natural sunlight in the evening when the sunrays were at a slant. This one I took with the flash light.
Tim Leahy, a member of the TN, posted a nice picture featuring, among other things, a small flower he photographed in Ireland. To my pleasant surprise, it looked exactly like the one I had posted a few days earlier without identification.
I may be hasty in my conclusions, but it appears that this species is found all over the world in certain climatic conditions. Tim identifies it by the name ‘Cranesbill Geranium’ defined as “any of the various plants of the genus Geranium with …purple, violet, or pink five-petalled flowers’ in the Illustrated Oxford Dictionary.
I wish to thank Tim for widening my horizons.

I would agree with you about this being a 'Cranesbill Geranium’ Ram. There are over 400 species of Geranium, found all over the world in cool, temperate, alpine conditions.

They are such pretty little flowers and your image is good, nice and sharp and with pretty colours. Well shown, TFS

Hi Ram,
Excellent POV and lighting,
great colours, nice framing.
Thanks for sharing!

Nice shot!
This is no doubt something from Geranium family. Very similar flowers to the one from your picture can be found in Poland too.
The photo has nice colours, very good details and framing.
WELL DONE!

In fact similar, your shot is sharp and bright also. To be visible that it fades already. Interesting that the same plants grow and in Poland.

Very nice, clear and beautiful photo Ram. TFS.
