Mcleodganj in Himachal Pradesh is the HQ's of the Tibetan govt in exile in India. This is the place where His Holiness, The Dalai Lama resides and has his seat of power.
This shot was taken a few kms away, at a place called NADI....I liked how the layers kind of faded into the distance. The colors were magical. Just thought of sharing with all my friends on TN.
Mcleodganj was recently in the news due to the numerous protests against the Chinese regime which originated here.

Being a native of HP, I have been visiting Dharamsala every year in August during my vacation from the Middle East where I had been heading Indian schools in the past 8 years.
Since I have now returned to India after retirement, I intend to go there in October when the skies are deep blue.
In the rainy season, the place is engulfed in mists and greenery, so I never saw the horizon as attractive as I see in your image.
You have created a lyrical image that is essentially artistic. The layers of colours and contrasts defined by ridges and hills are the heart and soul of this image that looks more like a painting.
