[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Thank heaven I used slow film. I was in Bandhavgar aboard an elephant used to find tigers to photograph. The tiger USUALLY ignores the human meals atop the elephant, so you feel safe. I used a Nikon 8008S with a Nikkor 75-300mm zoom, which I only recently sold. I photographed tigers several times in the three days I was at this reserve. I was amazed at how open the "jungle" was. An incredible experience and worth re-visiting the past for. Tomorrow back to the Nikon D70 and a picture I took yesterday of an American Bittern, one of 68 I shot of this fairly common but ordinarily very elusive bird. Just guessing re the Indian "State".
