[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was able to take close-up picture of a Skipper's face recently.
It did not bat an eye-lid and allowed me two shots from the closest range possible.
Here is one on them and I hope you like it.
Some BG noise had to be removed.

Here is a brief note on Skippers in general from Simple wikipedia:

Skippers differ in several important ways from the remaining butterflies, which are classified in the superfamily Papilionoidea and the neotropical superfamily Hedyloidea. Collectively, these three groups of butterflies share several characteristics especially in the egg, larval and pupal stage (Ackery et al. 1999).
However, skippers have the antennae clubs hooked backward like a crochet. The other butterflies have club-like tips to their antennae and hedylids have feathered or pectinate antennae which give them an even more "moth"-like appearance than skippers. Skippers also have generally stockier bodies than the other two groups, with stronger wing muscles. Hesperioidea is very likely the sister group of Papilionoidea, and together with Hedyloidea constitute a natural group or clade.

Hello Ram!

Very hard to capture, small and dynamic butterfly. I really like face to face POV and nice DOF with sharp eyes. Great work my friend!

Hi Ram
I like the face to face POV here. I am wondering about the more tight crop here but on the other hand I like also the delicate green color of the plant and nice composition with the OOF leaf on the right side. Good sharpness on head and nice OOF background

Hi Mr. Ram,
A lovely frontal POV capture of this rice skipper I think. Superb details and a lovely composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Sincerely
HP

hello Sir,

the insect was fully aware of your presence and the frontal pov taken is quite difficult to shoot insects as the moment we are ready to clik they are gone, i liked the selective focus on the head of the insect, i would like to see a tight crop,

I am taking break for a couple of weeks and hope to see your good work again when i come back,

regards
pankaj

Hi Ram,

I really like the POV on this and the excellent eye contact, the narrow d.o.f as placed the head in perfect focus, then tapering of down the body, with just a hint of movement in the wings, really nice work, all the best,

Cheers Rick :)

Hello Ram,
Yes, I like it !
This is a nice composition with good colours and sharpness restricted to the face
Well done
kind regards

Hello Ram,
This is a great portrait of the Skipper!! I'm surprised it posed so nicely for you - they tend to be very shy if you face them. Great focus on the head and a very nice composition in pleasant colours.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hello Sir, This is a perfect view and superb one. I tried to have a view like this but so far no success. Good sharpness. Ganesh

Hello Ram. I like the sharp focus on the skipper especially the compound eyes. Nice shallow depth in keeping the antennas in focus. Pleasantly silenced background for pleasing effect. Regards. Jusni

Hehehe! What a funny capture! I like this face-to-face POV with very nice eye-contact :)
Picture isn't too colourful this time but pose of the skipper adds much more that 1000 tones! :)
TFS and have a nice afternoon!
Radomir
