Ha! You know...there are times when I will take orange Marmalade and put it on a fresh and hot bun for breakfast. It is more of a winter thing...but I can see a particular similarity ion colours. Superb macro of Syrphus balteatus, one of the most widely distributed species of hoverfly in the world. It has settled on what looks like a Blue Jasmine flower, but I stand to be corrected.
The technical quality of this macro is great and the lighting and BG excellent in presenting both the flower and hoverfly ina a marvellous way.

Hi Ram,
Your expertise in close up photography is quite visible in this fine capture, the vertical POV demonstrates the hoverfly faultlessly while the perspective provided from the same vantage point produces a perfect 3-D effect with the equally sharply focused flower, all perfectly standing out against the contrasty, OOF BG. Thank you indeed for sharing this scene my friend.

Hello Sir,
How come you get a lot of hover flies in your garden when I can't find even a single one at my place? Must be because they are sure of a chance to pose for a photo.:)
Excellent capture of the Hoverfly on the pale blue flower.Very good POV and DOF. Good colours and contrasts. Lovely composition.

A pretty little Marmalade Hoverfly again -I can't get over the lovely name - but the colour is certainly that of a good marmalade! :-) Anyway, this is a very fine capture of this one on the pretty blue flower where it stands out nicely. Great focus and very sharp details. A lovely composition too.
