Black Kite Down
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is my first forensic shot On TN. On the backyard of Type one quarters I found this carcass. The wings are stiff indicating that rigour mortis has set in and the death is relatively recent[4hr-4days]. The claw postion is of landing / grabbing but there is no cut mark on the underside. An educated guess would be that it was struck down by electrical discharge from any one of the HT lines over the place. It died on the air & landed still.
There was no stench near the place. The eye is gone. the socket gives a pseudo impression. It's a pity that this had to be the closest I got to a kite.
Digression:- My locality is very famous. It is often compared to MIT in the USA. Ecole in France & Rensselaer in Germany. But this Indian counterpart seem to have superceeded all it's analougues In the number of suicides. 6 in last three years. |

Not exactly pretty but it is nature and that's the way it is....this kind of capture is the hardest kind for me to make. I posted one of a deer which had been decimated by a cougar in one night...and I have more of the sort, but I'll wait perhaps...A very good technical image and well seen. All things in their own time...to every season...

An interesting report and pic. Thanks.
