[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This butterfly come of family termed as the Papilionidae - The Swallowtails. It's binomial name is Graphium doson.

A common butterfly in the forests of India. It is an extremely active butterfly and only settles down briefly to feed or puddle. The upperside of the common jay has beautiful pale blue semi-transparent spots. The dark-red centered costal bar on the underside of the hindwing is the key distinguishing characteristic of this butterfly from other look-alike Graphiums.

Hi Subhayan,

I like your photo as it has very well chosen color tones. The darker colors of the butterfly tackes it out from the nice blurry background.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hello Subhayan,

A very beautifully composed shot!
Although your butterfly is sharp, it has a curious effect of the patterns appearing blurred on the wings!
Good dof and lovely colours.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Subhayan, Lovely shot and perfect position. The butterfly seem to be old as you can see the torn tissues in the wings. The POV is amazing. Ganesh
