Another view of Gomti River, also known as the Gumti or Gomati, is a tributary of the Ganges River. The Gomti originates in the Himalaya Range of Nepal. It extends 805 km (500 miles) through Nepal,Uttarnchal and Uttar Pradesh, a state of India. The Indian cities of Lucknow, sultanpur and Jaunpur are located on the banks of the Gomti. The river which is so pristine here in mountains gets polluted, owing to the large factories and tanneries in the state of Uttar Pradesh, which has affected fish populations.

According to Hindu mythology the river is daughter of Sage Vashistha, and bathing in the waters of the Gomati can wash away one's sins.

Rishabh,
This is another GREAT; however, the brightness of the
Indian sunshine seems dead. Th B/G is almost black. The greenry of a RICH river bank is not alive.
The gold coloured stones look copperish.
88 viewers and no comment. Mind you, this is a GREAT GREAT photo of the Gumti. I've been here. I know this location.
Am going to w/s it for you. Will give it light. The Indian SUN must shine on and in this great creation of yours.
Best regards,
Mario.
