The Streaked Laughingthrush (Garrulax lineatus) is a species of bird in the Timaliidae family. It is found in Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, and Tajikistan.

This bird is verymuch local in Himalayan Villages. I found this bird near a garbage. A lovely looking bird , is rare for south indians.hand held shot.

This is an excellent picture ! Excellent details, natural colors, beautiful composition and POV, wonderful blurred BG (a bit noisy but not a big problem for me) and an excellent pose of the bird too. maybe I would have cut 1 cm at the left side of the picture, but this is just my opinion... Anyway, it is very well done !

Hi Satish,
An excellent study of this very cute little bird. The sharpness, colours and details of the foreground are immaculate. Lighting and exposure are all spot on. Looking at the lighter areas of the background, though, there is some noise which can easily be removed with Neat Image. Since finding out about Neat Image through TN contacts, I have found it indispensible, especially as some of my recent posts have been from scanned slides. I'll post a workshop, showing the results. This just from using the free download version of Neat Image. Thanks
