This is the road to Dhikala via Thandi Sarak "Cool Road" which Mr Goldy had been talking about frequently in his postings to TN. Here you are surrounded by thick Sal trees (Shorea robusta) forest with a tunnel effect,dry leaf-fall all around & a clear dirt road in between.
One can hear leaves rustling and small twigs cracking with movements of hidden wild animals over dry leaves and might see all of a sudden, a running deer being chased by a tiger. This is the place where you should shut down your SUV engine and sit quietly to see what is all about Dhikala, Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve ! |
