Bold & Beautiful; Miss Corbett

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I clicked this bold & beautiful chital deer during my evening ride of the tiger reserve from an open SUV at Jim Corbett National Park. I was told that a tiger was sighted at this location. Hurriedly we left for this location but could see the pug marks of a big cat only.
Chital apparently is the commonest deer seen all around the park. They prefer close proximity of the tourists more so ever when threat of a tiger is perceived (since tiger is shy animal and avoids human contact) hence chances are that they may not be attacked perse. |

Hello Subhash,
What a wonderful image of this beautiful species of deer. I too have noticed how animals will use humans as a shield from predators.
Splendid image , thank you for sharing.
Rick
