The Plumbeous Water-redstart (Rhyacornis fuliginosa) is a species of bird in the Muscicapidae family. It is found in Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.

There is a Lake in Nanital, which attracts thousands of tourists every day. But this little bird is not bothered of any tourist, except hunting for insects, near water. It perches on Small boats, anchoured nearby. So, I attempted to take this Red Start-male, And suceseeded.

This is my first time seeing a photo of this bird. I love the hint of red from under the black feathers. I love also that we can see a reflection of that light on the bird's perch. Great shot.
