Here's a bird I never saw before....never knew existed..I still do not know the name as I post this shot...I wonder how beautiful it'd look in its natural environment...
Pl do let me know the name of this one...and if it does exist in the wild...

Yes, rare in the wild - a mountain species of central and southern China. This is a male bird.

This particular bird is extremely washed out for the colors. I wonder if they are fooling around with a selection program. The wild bird is much more colorful.

Chrysolophus pictus (Golden Pheasant).

AHH another shot from you
nice one
good colours and contrast
maybe the bird not exactly in focus
but nice work my friend
well done

Hi Goldy,
A nice capture of this beautiful pheasant. Although in cage. Sorry I don't like shooting caged creatures. And I think the face is a little blur. But again on second thought, this is a bird that I have never seen or have seen in some zoo but not remember. Excellent composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi goldy,

Good shot of this bird but the BG are poor!
Sharpnes and colors are good.
I think is a goldphesant.

Regards Gert

Hi Goldy,

Good shot with nice pose and composition. Slightly blurred details for some reason.

Hi Goldy, it is a Golden Pheasant, some have more red colours and very bright, but it is an uncommon bird. The background is very blue and I think this makes it...not so colourful, but nice to see!!regards h

Bellissima, particolare e personale presentazione di questo fagiano, una sensazione di piacevole e di gradevole. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hi Goldy,
Very beautiful bird...sorry abt the BG...just does not work.

Hi Goldy.
Simply amazing bird picture. I am impressed with rich and fine colour palette, wonderful composition and splendid tails of the bird, great DOF and level of sharpness of the entire image. Bravo. Excellent work.

What an amazing species you bring to us in this image Goldy. The tail is phenomenal, sad to see him caged though. Thank you for sharing Goldy.
