| The sun had just set when this shot was taken. The herd of elephants made quite a picture in front of the huge trees or rather remains of trees that were burnt in forest fire years back. These trees are really huge and add to the beauty of the grassland at Dhikala. |

Hello Swati, Superb just superb. I like the full composition and great view. Nice frame. Ganesh
Swati, this picture records an intense moment in the cyclic life of a day.
It is the evening time, apparently a little late after the sunset. Shadows have disappeared and the gentle and sombre light lingers on before making way for the oncoming night.
The elephants with their backs turned to you are now withdrawing for the night. The feel of these animals' deep relationship with their habitat comes out strongly at this point.
The four layers in the picture merge smoothly into each other, creating a composition of high artistic quality. The dark skeletons of charred trees off centre are like icing on a cake in this beautiful composition.
I must compliment you for "seeing" this moment, recording it well and sharing it with us.
Ram

Hello Swati,
I liked the misty atmosphere towards the far distance of mountain and the dead tree and elephants really stands out in the image!
many thanks for sharing the natural environment that the elephants can have their rightful place!
take care and best regards to you and family
from NZ, Tony
you have captured the essence of the Jim Corbett national park and how well you've done it.
I like how the layers fade into the bg making for a very pleasing compo.
