My friends from Punjab tell me they are at many of the gatherings and celebrations....about all I know from that end of Country....and I have seen some in other images which make them appear large...here because of the wide environmental shot angle/perspective...you give them a better balance...Very nicely done as usual in Goldy style.

DEar Goldy,
Your focus on JCNP elephants is quite obvious; however after viewing all these photos, I would like to mention here that courtesy poachers, the surviving gene pool of male elephants belong to predominantly non-tusker gene pool; i.e. why I could hardly see tuskers amongst them, as evident in this photograph too. One or two were seen roaming in chaur....not otherwise. Sad but true. TFS.

Hi Goldy,
You are so right - there is nothing like seeing these animals in the wild. I have been lucky enough to see them and it was a thrill I will never forget. Your wonderful pictures showing them in their natural habitat is second best. Not only did you capture the herd so well but you show off the beautiful natural setting. I hope you have lots more like this to show us.

I'm sorry I've not been here for a bit; I ended up with a very bad case of the Flu and have spent the past week in bed.
I love that this photo was captured in the wild; sadly, they are endangered...
Your photos often leave me feeling emotion - and I appreciate that. They also (along with your notes) let me see things I've never seen before and learn a bit about the posts, allowing me to further my knowledge.
Bless you for taking the environment so seriously.

Goldy,
I always said that humans are really good at one thing - destroying things..... It is a sad thing that animals and their habitat are continually being destroyed by us. Its not a good feeling at all.
It is so nice that you were able to capture this herd the way they are. Animal pictures in a natural setting are my favorites. Great work.
Best Regards,
Martin
