[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another archive photograph which I had clicked at Jim Corbett National Park. Today for the first time I have noticed that its a Langur "pair" sitting on the tree; and I felt like posting it on TN.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They are largely gray, with a black face. In Indian mythology, this is because Hanuman, a monkey warrior, burnt his hands and face trying to rescue Lord Rama's wife. Males are up to 75 cm long, and females 65 cm.The tarai (Sub Himalayan belt) langurs are smaller in the size from their Himalayan counterparts.

Gray langurs feed on leaves, fruit, buds and flowers. Their diet, however, is highly seasonable, with mature leaves being eaten only as a fall-back food during the winter months. In the summer, especially before the monsoon season, they are highly frugivorous. They also supplement their diet with insects (up to 25% in some months), tree bark and gum.

Critiques [Translate]

hello Subhash

and this one is your second image i decide to critique,
on this image i love the fact that the monkey is eating
and have a eye-contact on you, beautiful colours and luminosity,
i would prefer to have less space behind the subject(s)
and more space infront of them, TFS

A lovely shot, Ranjan...perhaps slightly noisy..
Nonetheless, very well done!

Hi Subhash

I love the pose here, you caught him with his mouth full. Nice natural colours and some nice details caught here. It makes a lovely subject for a photo

Hello Subhash,
I missed this fine capture of a Grey Tarai Langur. I like the POV in a natural-looking pose and the composition where it sits in the tree is appealing.
TFS this beauty,
Best wishes,
Ivan
