Dear friends, for sometime I had been keeping a low profile on TN, all courtesy conference season and many activities going on simultaneously. The horizon/riverbed is naturally tilted to left towards Ramganga reservoir.
I have also finished with my good viewable stock from the archive. Time has come when I should go on a vacation & get something new from my current location wilderness (ie Maharashtra); however till then just have one more view of the famous Corbett National Park from North India, which shows river Ramganga with Sambars (Cervus unicolor) enjoying their evening meal.
In an open area like this it is difficult for a tiger to catch the deer since it would be sighted by the good vision of them much before it reaches lethal range of an attack. Sorry for the image quality since this was the last I could zoom with my Olympus camera then......hope you get the feel of this Tiger Reserve to some extent. |

Hello Subhash,
A fine tranquil scene showing these Sambar deer taking water at a river. The composition with the trees in the BG is inviting.
TFS this fine image,
Ivan

Hi Subhash,
I love seeing Jim Corbett Park - you and Goldy are good advertisements for visiting this wonderful place. The scenery is just beautiful and the deer grazing and drinking are delightful. You certainly have succeeded in giving us a feel for this Reserve.

Dear Doctor,
Last week I visited Corbett Park in search of Pied Hornbill and also to take workshop on birding and photography. Though, I didn’t visit this part of the park. I had stationed at Dhikali only. You always capture landscapes with great visual, and this picture depicts the same.
Hi Subhash,
I was missing your wonderful work on landscapes, this one here comes as a solace. I like the atmoshere, showing serene habitat. Looking forward for many more images. TFS.
