In continuance of my series I present this desolate place and the solitary tree standing guard by the road corner. The environment illustrates the misty, rainy and chilly conditions pretty well. Needless to say I was on freezing point standing there to take this shot. Hope everyone like it.

Shot taken hand held in very difficult conditions. It was getting dark fast the light conditions was pretty bad. Still had to hold my breath and click.

If anyone wants to know about this place, please refer to my earlier shots for detailed description.

Beautiful shot Sumon,
Love the POV with the road leading of into the distance and the colours are stunning, excellent framing with the tree, I might have been tempted to clone out the car, I do find that a bit distracting, but other then that just beautiful, well done, all the best Cheers Rick :)

Hi Sumon,i like a lot this kind of pic,fog and snow togheter!! Very beautifull, don't seem India, seem Switzerland.ehehe..great atmosphere of peace and quiet, thanks for share,Luciano

wow...I love it Sumon...perhaps it is the combination of a rare vertical shot from you, as well as the fact that you left the blue in which is the way it was seen..I find corrections for something not seen as unwarranted.
It does indeed feel cold..and due to the ice fog, makes the river, creek appear as though it is on the side of a mountain...an odd thing but optical illusion. What a neat yet cold trip you had...a venture from the norm but well captured.

Great composition singling out the thin tree as a focal point.
Excellent clarity.

How beautiful, Sumon!!
I love the mood of the season captured in this picture. The colors, sharpness and vertical composition are great.
Thank you very much for sharing.
My best regards

Hello Sumon,

Very good winter picture. Very nice POV. Good sharpness and very nice colours. It is only a pity you had to take the picture of the car also.
Cheers,
Mariki

Really like this Sumon, a great composition..
The blue color tones work well. I did a WS to see what it would look like without the roadside car.

Hi Sumon.
Once more nice winter shot from you. Amazing light and colour tones. I like your POV and vertical framing so much too. The passage from sharp BG to smooth BG is great and very poetical. Bravo and my compliments.
Alexei.

The blue overtones with the misty fog that still allows hints of the world beyond creates a great mood. The lonely vehicle adds to that feeling.

Hello Sumon,
Awesome wintery atmosphere, and that road seems like slippery!
Pleasant composition with a good lead-in to the landscape, the different shades of blue adds to the mood...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Sumon,

Perfect title for this wonderful blue tone picture. You captured the atmosphere perfectly. A wonderful vertical composition with the fog, the big tree, the winding river and the snow. Brrrrrrrrr

Jane

Sumon,

A cold and lonely place indeed, but you have captured it well,

Hi Sumon,
An air of mystery with the mist and fog. But I can feel the cold knifing to the bone. Superb capture my friend.

Nice steady hand Sumon, shooting at 1/15, even though you were shivering. I like the mood you have in this shot. The blue works well with the light dusting of snow and the winding wet road. It appears to be very humid, with a decent fog in the background. If you'd waited until the next morning, with everything freezing then everything might have been covered with a beautiful hoar frost, you too of course, haha. Very nicely done under these new conditions (for yourself).

Thanks, John

Exelente foto uma estrada muito perigosa por ser estreita e neves, parabéns por esta fotografia.

Hi Sumon Da,
Sorry I missed all your previous posts with the DSLR. Last two weeks was pretty troublesome in my life. First it was my cousin sis marriage and then came my wife's missed abortion. Hope I will catch up with TN. A nice capture and very well done with shivering hands. Looking forward for more beautiful shots like this. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi Sumon,
A picture with great artistic quality. Get the lonely feeling with that leafless tree and foggy atmosphere. Nicely done and well seen image. TFS this wonderful picture.

Hi Sumon,
Another lovely winterscape from you. I liked your POV, DOF, composition and the atmosphere. TFS
Best wishes,

Hi Sumon,
Beautiful landscape. TFS.
Did you do any WS to make it bluish, or this is the original colour. What was the white-balance applied.
I like your version better than the WorkShop version of Howard. For the simple reason that if the car is removed from the scene, the title of the picture loses its meaning.

- Nirmal

Hi Sumon

Excellent composition - an essay in blues, so to speak. The use of the horizontal and vertical elements is very cleverly done and creates a striking image.

James

Wow, I have just discovered your photos and they are brilliant. This one in particular is amazing. Your capture of the mood, and the composition, are just fantastic.TFS.

Wow, beautiful shot Sumon, this is a great picture. The composition is classic and fantastic, the monocrhome colour of blue giving an atmosphere of coldness, solitary but serenity and beauty too. That's very artistic, I love it. thank you,

Francine

I missed your first two of the series, Sumon.
Looks like you had an adventurous trip to Sikkim recently.
The mood of the winter season is very well captured in this shot. It takes a lot of expertise to get the right tones and you have succeeded very well in doing so.
TFS and best regards.
Ram

beautifully captured in real colour and you resisted the black to white temptation
its better like this and has a real wintery day feel in blue
cheers

Hello Sumon,
Lovely winter scene, good composition and point of view.

Hello Sumon,

Awesome winter perspective with well placed vehicle on the side. The fence and the tall tree somehow balances the picture creating excellent depth and the mood. Well held breath and well done.

Hello Sumon

I like the depth of the shot, and how the snow/fog appears to fade the BG.
The roadway leads the eye through the shot nicely.
The lonely tree on the edge of the road does give the appearance of isolation.
Interesting tones and hues of blue create a unique atmosphere.

Hello Sumon

Another stunning image of this bleak, cold and yet alluring landscape. Your picture tells the story exactly as you want it! I really like the road leading into misty nothing. What an atmosphere!

Thanks for sharing and Best
Ravi

Great shot! The solitude of the place is really reflected in the photo.
