Hi All,
Am back with a post of the crystal clear waters of the Lachung river at Yumthang, Sikkim. The water is so clear that the river bed is beautifully visible. And here we can visualise the tremendous power water has, to give these rocks and pebbles such a fine shape!
Thanks for looking!

A lovely shot, Sangeeta..I do wonder it it remains so clear in the monsoons?

Yes, that is the kind of water we used to drink directly from brooks and stream a long time back in the mountains, Sangeeta. Alas! even they are now polluted, thanks to the proliferation of 'modernity'.
Excellent capture in which clear water is distict from the rocks and does not hide the ones at the bottom from view.
Good selection of details for the composition.
TFS and regards.

Hi San, Yes it is just clear. Good composition. I still remember I used to directly drink from the well and from the river during my kid days. Now I just wonder whether i can even think about it.Good one from your archive. Keep contributing. Ganesh
Dear San,
In addition to your note the formation of the different types of boulder beds is thought to depend primarily on the concentration of coarse debris in the basal ice.TFS.
