[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Nohkalikai Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Based on recently uncovered topographic maps, we're lead to believe that this waterfall could possibly be between 1500 and 2000 feet tall.

The waterfall is located near Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on earth. According to legend, a woman named Ka Likai threw herself off the cliff giving the name "Fall of Ka Likai.

Noh means plunge
Ka is female gender perspective
Likai is the name of the woman

Nohkalikai Waterfalls is high on beauty quotient and is often compared with the famous Jog Falls of South India. It is a must-see tourist attraction in Meghalaya.

Hello Subhash,
A fine capture of these waterfalls at a place I never knew existed. The falls show well through the mistiness and against the dark forested cliff top.
I can almost feel the humidity, even if this was taken from the air!
Thanks and all the best,
Ivan

With the brains to be a specialty MD, it must come as a superior hobby and yet you add your professional touches...something I do not remember seeing a couple years ago...lately your gallery has been filled with wonderful photos..so I thought I would start with the latest.

Very good angle..one not always seen and great use of lighting on the falls themselves...along with some great notes...a fine lesson good Dr.!
