Hi all,
I was with Murali last monday at Lalbaugh Botanical garden when we shot this beautiful "Orchard Orbweaver" spider.
There are few things i would like to mention.
1. Equipment : I shot this with my trusted equipment set of Nikon D50, which was serviced recently and Sigma 180mm, coz somehow my D50 packs in more punch compared to my D80 !
2. Composition: I wanted to try a different POV than the usual spider POV and also use the the web to create a natural pattern! I think I was successful in doing that.
Hope you guys like the picture

Dear Goutham
It's quite long I have not been in your gallery. The thumbnail of this picture attracted my attention, and I'm glad to discover such a beautiful, well contrasted and nevertheless delicate picture.
Kind regards
Markus

Hello Goutham,
A very original and artistical picture. The special point of view and the light falling on the spider and just a few strings of the web are very well chosen. These elements create a very interesting and subtle composition. I like a lot.
Kind regards
Anne
Yes, the third dimension is clearly visible here, Goutham. It certainly is a very original point of view.
That, IMHO, is the entire merit of this shot.
I admire your innivative approach to nature photography.

Ram
