Hi friends,
here is my post Lime - Iam after a considerrable gap. Lime is a Butterfly that belongs to Papilionidae family of Lepidoptera in which all butterflies and Moths are classified. Papilionidae are the most conspicuous of all butterflies and includes most beautiful butterflies. The Lime is one with a wing span of 80 -100 mm upper side of the wing is black with yellow spots.Always these butterflies choose cytrus type plants as host plants to lay eggs and larve feed on this plant hence nicknamed as lime.

Hi Ananth,
very beautiful image of this big fellow, one of my favourite. what a composition, perfect, with the flowers coming from the corner and this lime percehed perfectly showing its streamlined body with elegant wings. its unusual to see this one perched on this gaint milkweed. very good pale green background giving good contrast to show the wing patterns so beautifully. good image.TFS.
