Hi all,
First let me thank you all for the comments and encouragement. Today I am posting a photo that I had taken during my last visit to Munnar, a tea plantation town and part of western Ghats.

Nilgiri Pipt (Anthus nilghiriensis) is an endemic of SW India, Compared with the more common Paddyfield Pipit it has shorter tail and heavily streaked upper parts, streaked upper belly and flanks, and lacks malar stripes & patch.

This bird was jumping around in the stream and picking up some food.

I was wondering what the Pipit was standing on until I read your note, Anil.
A fantastic capture with every detail and colour on the bird in perfect place.
The posture of the bird too is endearing and that brownish rock on which the water flows serves as a unique BG.
