Hello friends,
Today I have a funny little bird for you. This bird was getting into most awkward positions on the branch searching for food.

White Cheeked Barbet (Megalaima viridis)is a resident of Western Ghats and Hills of Tamilnadu, ie endemic to South West India. Brownish bill, white supercilium and cheeks contrasting with brown crown and nape. Whitish throat and white streaking on breast. Seen in wooded areas, gardens and groves.

Hope you would like this acrobat. Thanks for taking a look.

hi anil,
excellent work, very good composition and acrobating pose of this barbet, nice to see its habitat here, good depth and focusing. that big white spot in the background is a bother, i know, of which you could do nothing.
happy to see that you are getting used to the lens. you have not given exposure details. tfs.

Hello Anil,

Bird's position is realy interesting and you have captured it with great skill. The image is sharp showing even the fine hears arround the beak. You have made very good use of the existing light showing nicely the vivid colors of the bird.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hello Anil,
A great capture!
I have never seen the White-cheeked Barbet portrayed so well. The pose is superb and is taken from an excellent POV with great sharpness to show the features of the head and fine green body plumage with excellent detail.
I like this alot and it is going into my favourites!
Thank you!
Best wishes, Ivan

Hi Anil,

This is excellent capture of the bird in its habitat and acrobatic position is too good, I feel you could have processed the picture to avoid the white spot which is distracting, the brightness could have been reduced. TFS

I like this acrobat, its a wonderful observation and an excellent picture. The sharpness and colors are amazing!

Goutham

Hi Anil

Great shot of this barbet. Excellent sharpness and plumage details. Good composition except for the bright shot next to the birds head. Oh well can't always have everything perfect.

Since I had missed this picture, it is a pleasure to look it up and admire, Anil.
A wonderful and amusing shot of this green bird leaning forward in a curious but daring posture.
Very sharp and colourful picture in a dicey light which you have turned around into an advantage.
TFS and all the best.
