Smitha, This seems to be the season for Gram Blues. We saw loads of them at Nandi Hills when we went with Gannu. However none did the show you have shot here. Very nice combination of colors in the foreground and background. Great compo.

Hi Smitha,

I can't imagine seeing so many butterflies at one time. And to have to be careful not to step on one amazes me. I have only seen a couple here this year and never see more than two or three in one day during the summer. Of course I have never seen a pair mating. You captured the moment beautifully. Nice details of the pretty markings and I love the soft colors.

You've saved up this beautiful capture for a long time! - It fits in very well with our blue butterflies that are just emerging here up the north!- This is a wonderful capture, very nicely composed and showing both butterflies sharply in focus. Hello Smitha, I'm not sure if I've ever seen Gram Blues before and now between yourself and Sumon I've seen 3 in the same night. This is a good shot of the two of them, on this thin branch. Lighting and focus are both very good resulting in excellent detail on the two of them. They are a good looking butterfly.

I am unaware of its existence on the camera you and I use.
Thank Anil on my behalf; I'm gonna look for it first thing in the morning tomorrow (We stay the night at our son's place these days; he is down with severe chicken pox).
With Anil's guidance, the picture of these tiny mating butterflies has turned out into a terrific composition with superb focus, immaculate details and very pleasant and natural colours.
