I just love the way it is peaking out over his tail. I think I would either, darken or cropped off the bright area at the bottom of the picture

Skinks are lovely and bizarre creatures. I love how you've capture this half in shadow. He looks pretty sneaky! I had a skink once and it gave live birth to a few dozen baby skinks. All were eaten by my other lizard that shared the same cage! Oh well.
