Nara,
Ok here's the deal on this one, when we photograph a subject sometimes we don't really pay attention to the surounding environment until it's usually too late, but then sometimes a photographer just cant help but take the picture because they have no other choice. The exposure of your overall image is perfect as one can tell by the color and tones of the image, the problem is the dappling light effect in the background causes a distraction and pulls away from your subject(parakeet)I also want you to know you did an excellent job as to were the light coming through the branches is not to overwelming. I would look around a scene for a better opportunity on the background, sometimes opportunity isn't there and ...well, sometimes you just have to live with it. Again a great shot.
