Hi friends,
Here is a Dove, small & cute, very shy but very much adapted to human habitations, hence sighting is not taht rare. Often any one can see this little beauty in country side, gleaning seeds in cultivated fields and open grassy fields. what attracts me always is it's spoted chestnut colored collor and blusih color on redish brown wings. Usually nests in low bushes and lays 2 or 3 white eggs, but most of the time nest is a victim of predators like Mangoose and Coucal ( A crow like bird with chestnut colored wings). |
