[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Friends,

I have seen many pictures of butterflies, frogs, dragonflies ... mating on TN. When we were walking around in Omkar Hills last week, Amar spotted this unique sight - two Centipedes holding each other in tight embrace using all its 100 legs. I have never seen them in such an act in the past. I presume that they are mating.

I found this unique and wanted to share with all of you.

Regards,
Murali Santhanam

Hi Murali!

Beside the scientific interest the picture also pleases from the photographical point of view. The lines formed by the insects is repeated in the plant. The lighting is fine and the sharpness highlights a lot of details.

Kind regards

Markus

What an intersting picture with two Centipedes hugging each other tightly, Murali!
Is it necessary to assume that they are mating? Can't they be just hugging for fun sake? :-)
Very crisp and sharp image with fantastic details and colours.
