Hi Didi
Funny about the Madras Zoo :). Great perspective on this one! I think gharials are beautiful crocodiles and they are reputedly very gentle and shy crocodilians. Are you in Madras now? There are some nice nature places in Madras (believe it or not!), that might be worth a visit. Try Guindy National Park (behind the guindy zoo). The park contains remanants of native coastal vegetation and some interesting Fauna. The Theosophical Society in Adyar is a lovely patch of greenery along the estuary of the Adyar river.
Cheers
Ravi

Hi Gloria,
Excellent capture.Eye contact is amazing.Well caught and composed.
Thankls for posting.
Dear Gloria Didi,
Excellent front profile of this animal with sharpness, details & natural colors. The focus on eyes & skin area between them is very conspicuous. TFS.
