| Crocodiles are very ancient animals, efficient killers. they still hunt humans for food, in India, Nepal and the other Asian countries. This one is in the Madras zoo, so he has to take what he gets...... he hardly looks underfed! Marsh crocodile, Crocodylus palustris, habitat rivers, lakes, marshes. They live throughout India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, and as far west as southern Iran. |
